Chi siamo
The Regional Agency for Prevention, Environment and Energy of Emilia-Romagna (Arpae) was established with regional law no 13/2015 and has been operational since January 1 2016.
It integrates the functions of Arpa (established with regional law no 44 of 1995) and the Environment Services of the Provinces.
Cosa facciamo
Arpae is built on multiple local offices to ensure direct monitoring on the territory. It carries out activities such as authorization, concession and monitoring of environmental status; supervision, control and analytical testing and integrates the environmental protection and energy field activities. It is also committed to the development of forecasting systems and models to improve the monitoring and knowledge of environmental systems of both anthropic and natural factors affecting them, by overseeing new forms of pollution and ecosystems degradation. The Agency promotes the sustainability of human activities affecting environment, health and safety of the territory, both through the controls provided for by the rules, and through prevention activities in the issuing of environmental permits and concessions, studies, projects and environmental communication.
