Chi siamo
The Regional Agency for Environmental Protection of Calabria carries out control and monitoring activities of all environmental matrices, supporting the expertise and public choices of the competent authorities regarding risk, prevention and protection of the environment and health. It complements the National System for Environmental Protection (SNPA) and contributes to the development of a scientific culture that fosters green transition and the pursuing of adaptation policies with information and data dissemination activities.
Cosa facciamo
ARPACAL’s activity is carried out with human resources, tools and equipment provided by the Provincial Departments and Regional Centres; it provides scientific technical support to the region, local authorities and Health Authorities for the implementation of the tasks assigned to them by environmental legislation on public health prevention and protection.
Furthermore, the Multi-Risk and Territorial Security Functional Center is part of the Agency and systematically carries out, throughout the regional territory, the activity of tracking and validation of Earth’s climate, ensuring support to the regional civil protection service.
ARPACAL is also involved in projects and programs of national importance and collaborates in the designing of scientific training programs with Universities and Research Centres.
